New Mercies for a New Morning

Some mornings begin softly.

Others begin with a long list, a tired heart, yesterday’s worries still hanging around, and a cup of coffee doing its very best. ☕️

But before we accomplish one thing, before we check one box, before we fix one problem, God has already given us something new:

Mercy.

Lamentations 3:22–23 tells us that because of the Lord’s faithful love, His mercies never end. They are new every morning. His faithfulness is great.

I love that it says every morning.

Not just the mornings when we wake up rested, organized, cheerful, and ready to conquer the world.

Every morning.

  • That means there is mercy for the morning after we messed up.

  • Mercy for the morning when we are worried.

  • Mercy for the morning when plans changed and life looks nothing like we thought it would.

  • Mercy when we feel strong.

  • And mercy when we absolutely do not.

Yesterday does not get to decide what God can do with today.

That truth is really at the heart of Morning Mercies Studio.

Hi, I’m Lisa — the heart and hands behind Morning Mercies.

I’m a wife, a mom, a Nana, a maker, an encourager, and somebody who believes with all my heart that God meets us right in the middle of ordinary life. Faith and family are woven into just about everything I do. I have always loved creating meaningful things, giving thoughtful gifts, sharing Scripture, and finding little ways to encourage somebody who may need it more than I even realize.

And somewhere along the way, that love for creating and encouraging began growing into something more. Morning Mercies Studio was born from a simple desire: to create a place where faith, creativity, and encouragement could meet.

  • A place where a Scripture tucked into a gift might speak to somebody at exactly the right moment.

  • A place where something handmade could carry a little more meaning.

  • A place where someone might stop for a minute, read a few words, and remember that God has not forgotten them.

  • A place that feels less like “just a shop” and more like a little corner of encouragement.

Because life can be beautiful, but it can also be hard.

There are seasons of joy and seasons of waiting. Seasons when prayers are answered exactly the way we hoped, and seasons when we are still trying to understand what God is doing. But through every one of them, He is faithful.

That is why Lamentations 3:22–23 means so much to me:

“Because of the LORD’s faithful love we do not perish, for His mercies never end. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness!”

New every morning.

Not recycled mercy.

Not leftover mercy.

New mercy for whatever today holds.

And that is my prayer for Morning Mercies Studio. Whether you come here for a devotional, a handmade piece, a thoughtful gift, a little Scripture for your home, or simply because you needed a word of encouragement that day, I pray you leave a little lighter than you came. I pray you are reminded that God is still good.

Still present.

Still faithful.

Still working.

And still handing out brand-new mercies every single morning.

So whatever today looks like for you, look for one little mercy.

It may be a quiet cup of coffee.

A phone call from somebody you love.

A prayer answered in a way you almost missed.

A grandbaby laugh.

A sunrise.

A verse that hits your heart differently than it ever has before.

Sometimes His mercies are big.

Sometimes they are tucked into the smallest moments.

But they are there.

And I hope this little place helps us notice them together.

Welcome to Morning Mercies Studio.

I’m so glad you’re here.

With love,
Lisa
